      Coffee Talk

      For the Love of Hearts

My Mom was a huge heart fan. She would buy heart decorated everything.... Sweaters, dishes, jewelry, fabrics, the list could go on. She was a huge Valentine's Day celebrator. Growing up, we would eat heart shaped waffles or pancakes for breakfast and be greeted after school with heart shaped sugar cookies.

I find myself gravitating to heart designed pieces for the shop. I love their playful nature, and of course each one of them makes me think of my Mom. I know she would love them as much as I do.

As you probably know, I am obsessed with the work of Heidi Bishop. Her artistic ability to create and beautifully paint pieces blows me away. I think her ring dishes make the best gift - a sweet valentine, engagement, birthday or anniversary gift. They are perfect for so many occasions.

I also love to use these napkins, this tablecloth and dishes for a valentine meal - be it with my husband, a family dinner or a "Galentines Day" gathering. I love the giant hearts on the linens and of course the dishes make the table complete.

      Après Ski Style

      Après Ski Style

It's winter in New England and for me that means ski season. Still sidelined from my big crash (PSA do not attempt Corbet's Couloir after age 50, if ever) at the end of last season, I will be honing my après skills rather than schussing down the mountain.

My trip down -- boulayed through the couloir
      Après started early....

      Après started early......

When my kids were younger, I would have hot cocoa and snacks waiting for them when they came piling in after a long day on the slopes. I would put together snacks on a tray like this one and serve cocoa in the BEST MUGS EVER. And, don't forget a warm drink for the over 21 crowd. Hot toddy's would be just as tasty in these mugs!

I love to entertain on a cold wintery night. A big pot of something warm and comforting on the stove, while enjoying cocktails by the fire. It's a cozy way to connect with friends after a fun day on the slopes. These are some of my favorite pieces to incorporate into your après vibe.

Rattan: Cozy and warm from its natural fibers, this rattan ice bucket might be the best entertaining staple of all time.

Coasters: Layer your drink and protect your furniture with a pretty coaster. Fabric or acrylic, these are some of our favs.

Glassware: Make the drink extra special with beautiful glassware.

Table Linens: My mom and her best friend used to trade off hosting après ski cocktail and dinner every weekend. Every saturday night the table would be set differently. I think dressing up your winter table is a fun way to bring a pop of color into the cold of night.

      Will you be my Valentine?

      Will you be my Valentine?

I love the shape of the heart. I love doting on those who I love. Valentine' Day has always been a holiday I can get behind. I don't like grand gestures or expect luxurious gifts. I just like the idea of pausing and telling those who are special to you that you love them. And of course we at Two Webster have perfect gifts to help spread the love.

      OMG, Live TV!

I am finally putting this up and out on the WWW. Back in November, I was honored to be on NBC's The Hub Today with Anna Rossi. The segment was on setting a Thanksgiving/Holiday/fun table. The segment was shot live at our Wellesley, MA holiday Popup. I put together two different looks.
