Spring in New England

I have always lived in New England so what I am going to claim is all relative, but I venture to say seasonal change here is like none other with the shift from winter to spring as the icing on the cake. In February the days seem a tad bit longer, with the sun shining past 4pm. In March the birds chirp and that's the real tell tale sign that we will emerge from cold dark days. April marks the beginning of the "season" at my collaborative shop, Mélange, when we open the doors for the new year. As a shopper said to me the other day, "I always know it's spring when I see your door open for the first time." I love the concept of marking time, and I especially love that something I offer marks time for someone else.

This spring I am especially excited about all of the new pieces in the shop, online and in the store. Working with artisans and bringing their vision to my audience is what makes me tick, business wise. I hope you love them as much as I do!
