Après Ski Style

Après Ski Style

It's winter in New England and for me that means ski season. Still sidelined from my big crash (PSA do not attempt Corbet's Couloir after age 50, if ever) at the end of last season, I will be honing my après skills rather than schussing down the mountain.

My trip down -- boulayed through the couloir
Après started early....

Après started early......

When my kids were younger, I would have hot cocoa and snacks waiting for them when they came piling in after a long day on the slopes. I would put together snacks on a tray like this one and serve cocoa in the BEST MUGS EVER. And, don't forget a warm drink for the over 21 crowd. Hot toddy's would be just as tasty in these mugs!

I love to entertain on a cold wintery night. A big pot of something warm and comforting on the stove, while enjoying cocktails by the fire. It's a cozy way to connect with friends after a fun day on the slopes. These are some of my favorite pieces to incorporate into your après vibe.

Rattan: Cozy and warm from its natural fibers, this rattan ice bucket might be the best entertaining staple of all time.

Coasters: Layer your drink and protect your furniture with a pretty coaster. Fabric or acrylic, these are some of our favs.

Glassware: Make the drink extra special with beautiful glassware.

Table Linens: My mom and her best friend used to trade off hosting après ski cocktail and dinner every weekend. Every saturday night the table would be set differently. I think dressing up your winter table is a fun way to bring a pop of color into the cold of night.
