Carved wood salt or pepper mill finished with eight coats of lacquer paint. The finish is glossy enough to catch light but thick enough that it won't chip with daily use. Each mill holds about a quarter cup of rock salt or peppercorns. Works well on the table during dinner or by the stove while you're cooking — the weight feels good in your hand when you're seasoning something hot.
