Last week I was reminded of the importance and power of honoring connections. I spent the week in Utah with several friends. I am not one to go on "girls trips" often -- i prefer to blather on the phone with those to whom I am closest. And, I like to travel in small groups -- with my family or one close friend/couple. 

I started the week with a close friend who moved to Salt Lake City for her husband's job. I miss her like crazy! We skied, we chatted, we imbibed and just spent some great quality time together cozying up under this soft and beautiful blanket I gave her as a hostess gift. 

For a long weekend, I made my way to Park City where I met up with some friends from home, one of whom is one of my closest college pals. Some of the women I knew better than others, and some I got to know better. The women in Park City were there to spend time together and watch Sundance movies. As a die-hard skier, I had to break off and do some more skiing. I watched one movie 🤪. We did a bit of shopping in Park City as well. I looked for new ski pants at my favorite ski shops, Cole Sports and Gorsuch. And, I always love checking out the great clothes and products at Cake. And of course it is always fun to visit Kemo Sabe to see the great "western wear." We went out for dinner and heard a Grateful Dead cover band, hit the gym + spa, ate many meals in and had loads of cozy quality time. And to shamelessly plug one of my new arrivals on the site, part of the hostess gift we gave our friend is a gorgeous hand embroidered guest book. I think it's my new favorite hostess gift!

Another highlight for me was connecting with another college pal who came over with her great jewelry line. Everyone shopped and tried things on. We had so much fun!
