A very dear friend of mine does such a great job of bringing friends together. Every year we celebrate her birthday and it is truly so much more than a birthday party -- it is a celebration of friendship, summer and life. 

This year I hosted and I think I had as much fun creating the vibe and space as I did celebrating her and catching up with friends. We celebrated outside on my deck with twinkling tea lights, warm breezes and gorgeous tablescapes. I used the new Summerill & Bishop Marble Fan linens, mixed with S&B Striped Linen Napkins on two folding tables. On my round outdoor dining table, I used these pretty woven placemats with Marble Fan napkins. Woven vases filled with the most incredible flowers from my friend, Marc, were the talk of the night. We ate gorgeous summer food: lobster rolls, corn salad, tomato, peach & mozz salad, French potato salad and homemade cupcakes.
