As the seasons shift, I always find myself wanting to freshen things up at home...nothing major, just a few small updates that make everything feel brighter and more inviting again. The good news? It usually only takes a couple simple swaps. Here are three of my favorite ways to give a room a little spring reset.

I. Swap in Lighter Layers
Winter textures can start to feel heavy this time of year. One of the quickest ways to shift the mood of a room is swapping in lighter throws or pillows.
Think soft mohair, breezy cotton, or subtle pastels that brighten up a neutral space without overwhelming it.
It’s a small change that instantly makes the whole room feel fresher.

II. Refresh the Table
Updating your table can be a little less overwhelming than refreshing an entire room, but it's a great way to bring some seasonality into the kitchen or dining room.
I love adding in scalloped placemats, linen napkins with spring motifs, or a new serving pitcher that can hold tulips or serve water and drinks.
These little updates instantly make not only the table feel ready for spring dinners and weekend brunches, but bring brightness to the whole room.

III. Bring the Outdoors In
Sometimes the easiest refresh is also the most impactful.
A new vase, a bowl for the coffee table, or a simple tray for styling can give a room that finished look, especially when paired with fresh flowers or greenery.
It’s the kind of update that makes a space feel alive again after winter.
