Ahhhh February. We made it through the darkest days of winters -- the days are getting longer and the nights a little shorter. 

For most of my life (until my mom passed away in 2011), I spent my winter weekends in at Sugarbush in Vermont. My parent's best friends lived next door and we had weekly family dinners on Saturday nights. My mom and her friend, JA, loved to set a table. They had house accounts at the local home decor shop, The Store, and would stockpile different table linens and accessories so that every time they hosted (they alternated) the table would be different. You can imagine the collections.... The seasonal looks would start out with dark, muted tones then transition to holiday (even though we are Jewish, they would do a holiday-ish table) and NYE sparkle. Once the calendar turned, we pivoted to red and pink for Valentine's Day and then finally into brighter hues that would bridge the gap to spring. These were always my favorite tablesettings because the colors echoed the longer days. 

When entertaining this time of year -- which is also generally in Vermont -- I love to start mixing in brighter colors that showcase signs of spring. I am OBSESSED with the colorway and pattern of this Lisa Corti tablecloth and napkin. I think it bridges the winter to spring transition perfectly with rich hues that have a brightness to them.

I had so much fun creating this look mixed with vintage glassware and bright white ceramics. The basketweave plates work with so many different tablescape looks. We also recently got in the lovely light blue flatware from France. Everything but the vintage glassware is super low maintenance -- wash and go!
