Ski season is our second favorite season (living in New England summer has to take the win) and I am SO ready for it! I spend a lot of time in Vermont during the winter and there is nothing like the feeling of a full day on the slopes followed by a cozy àpres scene. Our favorite way to do àpres is in ski clothes or cute sweats (Suzie Kondi, I'm looking at you) and slippers. (IFYKYK, in ski culture when invited to àpres, you bring along your slippers so you can leave your wet, snowy boots at the door.)
For my first àpres of the season, I will definitely use these adorable coasters that are a collaboration between two of my favorites. Chill your wine and craft beer in "the best ice bucket/cooler EVER." Use these wintery cocktail napkins and make your charcuterie platter on this platter or this tray. Don't forget the hostess gift, and this notepad will be much appreciated. Lastly, be the talk of the féte wearing this hat, or this one to brag about how you kill it on the slopes!
Après doesn't have to be drinks and apps. I believe it can be a cozy lunch. On my favorite ski days we get out early, take a bunch of runs and come home for a soup & salad lunch.
These placemats and coaster (not shown) make the PERFECT ski house meal. Pair them with fun bowls and linens to complete the look.
When my kids were young and would come home from race practice, I loved to greet them with cocoa and cookies. Their cold flushed cheeks were my reward for homemade treats.
Cheers to good snow and good times!
